1984 BMW 318i E 30 Red paint is only fair up close, but looks good from 20 feet. The car runs very well, shifts ok, and drives very nicely. The body is very straight, with very few dents or dings.We purchased the car a year ago after it had been sitting for a long period. We did a good amount of work to it, and my son has been using it as a daily driver. There are some rusty areas under the floorboard of driver and passenger, these areas are crunchy.Very little rust in other areas. The 14 inch tires are in great shape and have very little wear on them, the BMW wheels are in good condition. The dash has a cap on it, it looks ok but it is a cap so I assume there were some cracks underneath. The car starts, runs, and drives well, and doesn't appear to smoke or burn oil. The power sun roof works, the windows are manual. The tool kit appears fairly complete. The radio/CD do work. A maint manual is included. In following is a list of what we have replaced on the vehicle since we have owned it: O2 sensor Oil/filter every 3K Headlight switch Air filter Bled out old brake fluid Front rubber brake lines Odometer gears Both rear brake wheel cylinders Fan motor Fuel filter Fan clutch Accessory belts Plugs, wires, and rotor button Glove box latch Fuel pump Cleaned in tank fuel pump strainer Cleaned fuel tank Shifter rod pin Battery Rear lower control arm rear bushings This car is a 31 year old BMW, it is a neat old car, but NOT a show car. If you are looking for one, look elsewhere. However this car is a good old driver. Also, if you do not intend to buy, Don't Bid. I have no time for people who bid and don't follow through. The temp gauge in the dash does not always function properly, so there is a Sunpro aftermarket gauge installed that does work fine.
