Vehicle Detail

Welcome to my auction! Please read the WHOLE description before bidding, if you have zero feedback, do not bid on this item before contacting me first. A video tour of the bike is available, as per eBay policy, I can not display the link here. Please send me a message, I will forward you the link. You are considering to bid on a 2001 Triumph Sprint ST Sport Touring motorcycle. I am the second owner of this beautiful bike, I have owned it since 2002 when it had a little over 3000 miles. The bike has never been dropped, crashed, or damaged. The paint is original British Racing Green. No panels have ever been painted. The original owner was a US Navy Master Chief stationed on the USS Constellation (CV-64) Aircraft Carrier when it was based here in San Diego. While he was underway, someone decided to steal the complete brake system of the bike. I purchased the bike from the insurance company and I still have their repair or brake system replacement estimate. Because of the missing parts they would only issue a SALVAGED title due to liability even though the bike was undamaged and running. I purchased the brake system from Rocket Motorcycles in San Diego for which I also have receipts. All original Triumph parts were purchased including nuts and bolts and everything in between to restore the bike. The bike runs excellent, it rides fantastic, there are no mechanical issues whatsoever. In the last 13 years, I managed to ride it around 4000 miles, only trips to the mountains in Southern California's twisty roads. No commuting or use for anything other than pleasure. The bike has never seen rain, it has always been garaged and covered indoors. The engine is fantastic, inline 3 cylinder that was tuned by Lotus. It is a lot of fun, lots of torque throughout the entire rpm range. It comes with the original Triumph panniers, I have never used the panniers, they still smell like new. I put them on the bike for the photos so that you can get an idea of what they look like. However, I purchased the panniers in 2003 or 2004, at that time they didn't make them in British Racing Green. 2001 was the last year of the British Racing Green! :)The panniers are a darker green color which was available from 2002 onwards, you really have to look closely to notice that they are darker. If you are in another locality, I will be more than happy to help facilitate the shipping of the bike by dropping it off to your shipping service of choice. On Jul-30-15 at 00:39:21 PDT, seller added the following information: If you look at the last photo, it is the link to the 10 minute video tour of the bike. You can hear the engine and I have pointed out the few minor scratches. I could not publish the link in any other manner due to eBay's policy concerning external links. It might be a chore to type the link from the photo but it is worthwhile.
