1980 911SC Targa Car was salvaged due to a driver side front end incident, the only damage evidence I can find can be seen in the battery box area (pics included), but otherwise everything looks good. No rust. Owner passed away in 2014. Car looks to have been both salvaged and had the turbo look convertible conversions, years ago, if not decades ago. A handful of more recent records show that as late as 2014, owner was still taking care of the cars needs mechanically, and it's most recent smog shows very good numbers. Runs nicely with a little bit of 'idle hunting' sometimes until warmed up. Shifts seamlessly with no issues, no fussy downshifts, grinding or popping out of gear.Brakes are excellent.Most everything works including things like the clock and power antenna. Very little if any leaking from motor or trans.Top will need replaced as rear window aged out.A/C might work with a charge but I haven't explored into it.Miles show 79,857 but can't be confirmed as the original 85 MPH speedometer has been changed. Car looks great from 10 feet (5 feet really), and I can't drive it without getting attention, however it has many age related chips, scratches etc. Steel flares and rockers, done very well. All OEM 930 rubber. It's obvious that when this one was converted, it was one of the better jobs. Paint was very nice, and still presents well, but aged. Nicely preserved original interior. No dash cracks or warping. (not pictured, but included: rear seat backs). ...$100K+ look for a fifth of the cost, it's the perfect weekend toy. Current CA registration with no other fees due.
