Vehicle Detail
For sale, a 1973 TR6 convertible with hardtop. ( additional information has been added 7/31- 7:04 PM) I am the third plus owner and purchased vehicle because it has all the attributes for a great restoration. What I know. Car had a moderate restoration at some point in the 80's or 90's. Vehicle was lightly driven by last owner who stored in a barn, early 2009. I bought it in 2013 and did the same until a few weeks ago... when I made the decision to sell. Engine is strong... does not smoke, starts right up. Vehicle runs and drives, shifts through all gears with good synchromesh. Frame is in great shape, surface oxidation but no rot. The original color was Magenta, so paint is a bit of a mess. Body panels are rust free in good condition, drivers door has a light crease toward hinge side. rear lower faring has two areas with holes. Lower rocker panels have some oxidation on quarter panels, but center rocker under doors has a light skim, spot coat of body filler. I don't believe it is a serious issue. Areas where these cars are known for rust issues, this one appears to looks real good. Interior cosmetically will need attention.Gauges all function, hi/low fan, defrost and cabin flapper positions, wipers hi/low, head lamps all work. blinker and e- parking need help. Soft top frame is good, cover is weathered and has some mended crack. The hard top will need some fit adjustment and very light restoration. I drove it today and it runs good and even better with some carb adjustment, lots of toque. A quality restoration... will make it great! Added Plus Values: Header Spin on filter Zip open rear soft top window Hard top Braided stainless tubing interconnects Nice alum.Triumph valve cove :) I will consider transporting, details will need to be worked out. I don't have the time with the recent purchase of a BMW Z3 M, my hands are full. Thanks for taking a peak.
