Vehicle Detail

Clean Title. Runs Great. Looks Phenomenal. If a classic Mercedes is what you're considering- then take a good look at my friend, here. I call her the Batmobile, and she has seen me through 4 years of incredibly good times. This Benz was part of the redefining of Mercedes' car styling. 78,000 were produced exclusively in North America- and few are around today in this kind of condition. I am only parting with it because I am moving out of state- and would rather purchase something new when I arrive there than drive 2,500 miles. One known owner before me was a wealthy family friend who decided to gift it to me when they bought something new. They always garaged and loved this vehicle. The car works and runs wonderfully ( All problems with it are listed further below ). Cosmetically, it's a gem. The glossy black paint looks new- especially after a wash or wax. The authentic CRHOME always attracts comments from admirers. There are very few minor signs of age on the exterior ( Seriously. I mean minor ). The black leather interior is in fantastic shape- and the timeless design of the dash and walnut trim still looks very classy. The carpeted floors are clean and stain-free. Brake Pads were replaced in late 2011- Tires are 2 years old. The car is a TurboDiesel, and can actually run on simple vegetable oil if you'd like. My friend has a similar model and he made cheap adjustments to his engine. Now he can swing by fast food restaurants and actually use their spare vegetable oil to fuel his car. Doesn't get cooler than that. Or cleaner for the Ol' Mother Earth. The windows are electric, including a huge Sunroof that is incredibly nice to open up on summer days. (See pictures)Existing Problems:-The car will top out around 75mph. It's definitely a cruiser- not a racer. -The Front-Passenger window needs a new motor, and will not go down until motor is replaced.-The driver's door shuts fine, but you need to shut it pretty hard for the latch to engage- I hear this is an easy fix. -The car is automatic, but it will sort of lurch into 3rd gear when you reach that speed. When you become familiar with the gas pedal you can minimize the noticeability of the shift there by easing off the gas slightly. Note: It is only noticeable in the moment it shifts to 3rd. Before and after that, it's smooth sailing. -The back brake light does not illuminate when you brake. The tail light still works and turns on, and the blinker works fine. But when you tap the brake, the top half of the red tail light won't turn on. You can actually see this in the photographs I took. - It is a sexy car. The only cosmetic issues are the following:-The plastic beneath the front bumper has been scraped up a little over time. There's a small piece of it that broke off. There are some minor scrapes on the plastic beneath back bumper. as well. -The car was love tapped once before I owned it, leaving a very small indent on the back left corner of the trunk. Hard to notice it amidst the shine of the car's paint. The wood paneling on the glove box (passenger's seat) is loose. The part around the AC vent came off a few months ago and I couldn't reattach it. ( See picture )-My mechanic in Lafayette (California Star), has recommended the following fixes in the next year or so: -Replace Steering linkage ($590)-Replace rear sway bar links ($121)-New Brake fluid German Engineering. Sexy Condition. Many good memories with this classic car. Treat her well! On Jul-27-15 at 00:44:53 PDT, seller added the following information: Clean Title. Runs Great. Looks Phenomenal.
