Vehicle Detail
I have a 1973 Triumph Bonneville,T-140 750cc 5 speed transmission. It's all original, though it's missing the turning signals and the mirrors because this model year didn't come with them, turn signals were not required until 1974(edit:: I have since been told that the bike did come with turn signals from the factory, and obviously it did come with mirrors, however this doesn't change the fact that this bike is missing those pieces at the current time.) It could use some new fuel valves on the tank because they won't close properly, but the needle valves in the carb work great so it doesn't leak. It has a dent on the right side of the tank which is the only thing cosmetically wrong with it as well. The chrome is in unbelievably good condition, with only a small spot here and there, almost no blemishes on it. Everything else is in tact and original on it. It only has 10857 miles on it and that's also original. It has had a recent oil change and a new battery and is running and ready to ride with a clean ky title in hand and ready to go. It starts first or second kick every time and runs like new. -I felt I should also say that I reserve the right to end this listing early because the bike is for sale locally, as well as on multiple other sites because I am a motivated seller, thus the reasonable price which I am taking offers on. So if you are interested in the bike I would advise you to make your offers sooner rather than later, because I am strapped for cash, and needing to get some wheels rolling again. I have a small motorcycle shop which I took this bike in trade for quite a bit of labor that I am trying to cover with the sale of this bike, so you know where I stand with it. Also I would like to say that I am in the process of taking some more and better pictures as I kind of threw this listing together in a rush. The side cover and the breather tube and filter on the right side is NOT missing as it shows in a couple of the pics, it was just off at the time and is now back on. Both Bonneville Logo Plates are included though one is off the bike and does not have the Bonneville logo on it, the other does and is now on the bike. The chrome has also been completely polished to the state as you will observe in the pics of the front fender where the front-most part of the fender has been polished. All of the chrome looks basically that good now. Also the headlight no longer has duct tape on it as it shows in a pic or two,m the clip that holds it had fallen down into the headlight, and has now been re-installed an the tape removed, because it wasn't needed. As I said I will post more pics as soon as I can, but if you would like more information, please don't hesitate to send me your phone number as a question and I will respond pronto. Again, bid quick, and happy bidding! --Update -- I have added some pictures that really show the beauty of this bike, and are current as of 4:55 pm est 7/22/2015...also I have added a video of it starting and running, in which I got it up to 3rd gear for lack of a good track.
