I've owned this car for several years now and have began focusing my attention to another ZR-1. According to Hagerty Classics the 90-95 ZR-1 is the next Corvette to skyrocket with limited build quantities and the only 4cam 32valve engine to ever be put into a Corvette. Original cars are getting harder to find as most have been modified to the owners taste. Extensive engine component porting is normal to these cars. NOT MINE, the upper plenum has been removed to replace the Injectors, coilpacks, and the fuel pump assembly was removed to replace the pumps in the tank. Original GM gaskets were used when it was put back together. If you follow the corvette market original cars are where the investment is. I've spent countless hours cleaning and preparing this Corvette for shows. Now that I have purchased another that will entail the same scrutiny, there is no need to have two ZR-1's that in my opinion are too nice to drive. 1990 ZR-1 21k miles. Red on Red. Most know the history of this car and what a leap in technology it was for the Corvette program. Lotus designed Mercury Marine manufactured 350ci LT5 DOHC 32 valve 4 cam This car is completely original with the exception of Goodyear GS-D3 replacement tires (date codes August 2011) and AC Delco battery (July 2013). All 16 Injectors have been changed to new FIC stainless, which are ethanol acceptable, coils, fuel pumps, spark plugs all new. Original injectors come with the car. The car has new speakers and amps which are problematic with all C4 corvettes. The car has new seat pumps and bladders for lumbar. All seat functions work flawless. The AC still blows cold and is still factory R12 charged. Original factory windshield with very minor delamination. Original weather-stripping is as new and has been treated as specified by GM twice a year. That is the only time the tops is removed from the car. Two sets of floor mats, 1 (Very Rare) Red original with the correct GM part numbers. 2 Aftermarket Lloyd ZR-1 mats. Wheels are very nice with no yellowing or curb rash, the original valve stems caps labeled as stated in the NCRS manual as well as the "break tire bead here" labels are present. The tires have less than 2000 miles and the car stays on cradles to prevent flat spotting. Exterior/Interior/Chassis/mechanical are phenomenal, this is a concourse corvette. The engine retains the original paint which is very rare as most are stained from the use of chemical cleaners. (Most modified have been powder coated and stainless hardware.) All fluids including rear diff, transmission, antifreeze, oil were changed in December 2014 and 100 miles has been added to the car since. This ZR-1 is a beautiful example of how one left the factory/dealership. It will stand toe to toe against any C4 in the world, It's that nice! Basically put the car is well sorted out and can be driven across country if one wishes. Or if you decide NCRS or Bloomington is a route to take it will be the high scoring animal at any show! This car is ready for a national show and is a perfect candidate for NCRS Crossflags Award. This has always been my plan with the car, and I will continue to NCRS the car as long as I own it. The car just received Top Flight of 98.9 in April 2015 at Charlotte NCRS Regional. The car has two chapter NCRS Top Flight awards 99% without driving points in 2014. Stickers, pizza box, extra lug nuts, extended rear lug socket, Red solid and Blue Transparent tops, Window stickers, Build sheets, Two sets of keys, Two secondary Power keys with knock outs, original owner purchase agreement, car sold at Dewey Chevrolet in AK, No excusses period. Always a southern car. I will include the factory GM manuals as well as an indoor cover with the car if BIN is used.
