Vehicle Detail
WOW, a 1975 Honda CB750 Four with ONLY 2,592 ORIGINAL miles. I found this bike in a barn several years ago, I bought it from the original owner who has had it in storage all these years I brought it home, cleaned the rust out of the gas tank, put a new battery in it, changed oil and put some gas in it, I hit the starter and after a few seconds it started right up!! There is some pitting on the chrome and a few surface rust spots the frame but nothing that is even close to being bad, just more or less surface rust. I would think the chrome could be easily re-chromed for cheap. With a little bit of sanding on the rust spots and some touch up paint and this bike would look like new. I accidentally dropped the tank when I was cleaning out the rust and put a little ding in it so I had the tank, and side covers, repainted ($1200.00). The shop also sent the tank out and had the inside professionally sealed. I had them match the original color the best they could. The paint job turned out perfect. I purchased NOS side tank decals, had the shop paint the black and gold on just like the original paint job and after applying the decals, they clear coated the entire tank and side covers and it really does look great. I road the bike for about 10 miles a couple years ago and it road and handled fine. I have not started it this year because I don't want to put gas in it for storage and shipping reasons, but if you buy the bike and want to make sure it will run just let me know and I will start it and send you a video of it running. This is truly a fantastic vintage motorcycle and it is in good shape, from what I understand it had been sitting in this guys barn without ever being touched for all these years. You can tell just by looking at the seat, there is no sign of anyone ever sitting on the seat. I also noticed that on the right handle bar controls, the little plastic button is missing, the switch lever is in place and it works fine just the cover is missing. I am not a professional sales person or motorcycle expert so its really hard for me to give you a professional rating of the shape, to me, for its age I think it is in great shape considering I have not done any restoration to it at all. I have included pictures of the worst spots on the bike so you can see exactly what you are getting. The motorcycle is in Minneapolis and will need to be picked up here or arrangements will need to be made to ship it. I will not supply shipping but I will help in anyway I can and will work with you to get it shipped. This is a "as is" sale with no warranty. I have made every attempt to present this beautiful motorcycle as accurately as possible but if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me. I will be out of the country from July 17 - 25 but will be checking this as often as possible so just give me a day or so to respond. thanks for looking and good luck bidding PLEASE let me know of any questions you have
