Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 1933 Chevrolet 5 window coupe. As you probably know this is the transition year from the square bodied cars to a more rounded version. In this condition the choice is up to you whether you want to restore it to original or make it into a hot rod. I believe this car is complete. This car was purchased in 1977 by the current owner. He said that he drove it 3 or 4 times since he's owned it. He kept it in a wood floored barn until 4 years ago when the barn started deteriorating. At that time, he drove it to a spot in front of his house and covered it with 3 tarps. Over those 4 years the top and floor (wood) deteriorated and fell into the car. It hit the driver's side window cracking it. The car has some obvious issues with the wood framing at the top will need to be replaced. I took a picture of the two back corners to show the wood damage. The wood flooring will need to be replaced as well. The tires are all low or flat, I haven't tried to fill them up yet. There are two extras tires, one on the back of the car and one not pictured. This auction includes all that you see plus the front seat, the air cleaner, an extra carburetor and a few parts that I'm not sure about. I have not tried to start the car or prep it for starting. It did run 4 years ago so it should not be difficult to resurrect her. The inside of the fenders don't show bondo going through but it looks like a thin coat on the outside. Rat rod or fix it back to original, it's your choice.
