Vehicle Detail

Hi everyone! Up for sale is my 1986 300E. I've had this car for a handful of years, doing regular maintenance myself. Over the years we drove it less and less, hoping to eventually get it back to full spec. All in all, we've LOVED this car, my wife more that me. I always preferred our 84 500 SEL. Now its time to go. Your gain I hope. The good: Interior is in phenomenal shape for a 29 year old car. All of the leather has great life in it. The only downside is a crack in the middle of the dash. Paint is also in good shape. It needs a good buffing since it's been a handful of years since we've done that. Some of the obvious upside is the AMG wheels and bodykit. This was sold at Russ Darrow in the 1980's, it had a Russ Darrow sticker on the back. Our presumption was they affixed the bodykit prior to sale as the previous owner told me thats exactly how he purchased it, and was what he heard as well. Also, the engine seems in good nick. It's always been consistant even in deep cold winters of -10F. It has a new battery as well. We've always used Mobil 1 10w40 High Mileage. What needs work: We've noticed some of the rear multi-link bushings are worn per our mechanic. Also, there are some weird electrical issues. The power wire for the stereo has been cut SHORT. You can certainly add to it's length and repair it. Cigarette lighter doesn't work. Dash illumination bulb is non-functioning as well as the right rear running light. Those are most likely bulbs but do need replacing. The A/C wasn't charged when we purchased it, and hasn't been since. Finally, the heating/cooing buttons all work, but don't seem to turn fully off. There seems to always be a mild flow of air even when pushed to "off". As an aside, it does come with the first aid kit in the rear deck! Also, it does have rockford fosgate speakers all around! This is a used car, and therefore AS-IS. it would make a PERFECT project for someone.
