1998 VW Jetta TDI - Clear Title 261k miles 50 mpg! COLD A/C (Freezing cold) Great Engine, well maintained and biodiesel ready! 5speed manual transmission Adjustable height Coilover suspension, it is currently lowered to max without scraping Front 25mm Nuespeed sway bar (feels like cornering on rails) Upgraded Bigger brake calipers 17' ADR aluminum wheels with good tread Nexus 3000 tires 2 way high end clifford alarm with visual indicator remote and paging alert Pioneer AVIC-N2 flipout stereo deck with two remotes, vehicle dynamics, Navigation, Sirius\XM, cell phone and microphone input jack for hands free drive or music Pioneer Premier component speakers in front with crossover - I am willing to keep if not wanted Rockford Fosgate component speakers in rear with crossover - I am willing to keep if not wanted New black carpet with added thick sound dampening insulation from behind dash to trunk Inside dash and door panels have been replaced with used black leather panels. Rear seats were replaced with used black leather seats I've done alot with this car and it's been a fun project. Originally I purchased for a Suzuki Samurai conversion with the TDI engine. I recently had it serviced by a TDI specialist but due to a mass air flow mod, (cold air intake) and a weak ground on the coolant sensor, I couldn't get it passed the California smog inspection which is required on 98 and newer Diesels. These are minor issues but I can't put anymore money/time in this car and need to just get rid of it. My loss is your gain. I have clear title. I'm open to keep the speakers and take $200 off the price. I have too many vehicles now so I must part with this fun, economical grocery getter. I've come to call it my "50 MPG Biodiesel GoKart". AC is freezing cold, probably the best AC I've ever had. Other items to mention: Before I purchased it, the left rear side of car rolled back into a shed. I had a local guy repair it the best he could with bondo and matching paint. We replaced the trunk door and rear bumper. As a result, the trunk is held closed by a quick and easy racket tie mechanism behind the rear seat. It's easy to gain access to the trunk but you need to release the mechanism behind the drivers rear seat and tighten it back to close. It's easy to do in seconds. The headliner is missing. I was going to redo but never got around to it. The seats are original and if you know MKIII Jetta's, you'll know about the seat defect that causes the seat to tilt on the left. This is how the drivers seat is. I've driven it for years like this but I was planning on replacing them. It starts every time. The mechanic installed a push button start in case of any issues starting with key. It was serviced by him after the starter had a short. The starter was replaced and the electronics were reviewed by the TDI mechanic. I have his receipts as well. I'm here to get this car in the right hands.
