Vehicle Detail
Up for sell is a 1965 Ford Econoline Pick-Up. The truck cranks and runs good, but the 3 speed manual transmission has first gear out. It is drivable with 2nd & 3rd gears. The glass is good with only a small rock chip in the front windshield. There are some rust spots and blistering of the paint along the bottom edge of both side panels and also a few paint chips and light scratches from normal use. The front tires have just been replaced, they have less than 20 miles on them. The headliner is missing. I have had the truck for 5 years and the odometer shows 25,938 miles, but with a 50 year old truck, it is possible it could be 125,938. The original color of the truck was orange but it was repainted. It is a fun little truck to drive. Heads turn as you drive down the street in this unique, half century old, pick-up. The winning bidder is responsible for all shipping charges. This truck is sold "as-is" with no warranty. Happy bidding. On Jun-25-15 at 21:30:18 PDT, seller added the following information: This is a RARE 1965 FORD SPRING SPECIAL ECONOLINE PICKUP. It is estimated that there were between 2,000 and 2,500 of these Spring Special pickups made. They were made by Ford as a sales promotion to encourage the sales of the Econoline pickups in the Spring of 1965, specifically from May 1 through July 20. Some of the options on this special model was the wide body molding, front and rear chrome bumpers, quarter windows (5-windows), left-hand chrome mirror, special wheel covers and a few other options. The Spring Specials are identified by an extra "1" at the end of the axle code on the vehicle data plate.
