Vehicle Detail

Hi Selling our 1966 Chevy C-10 Step side Short Bed. My wife and I bought this truck from an estate sale last year, the trucks last owner passed away over 15 years ago and the truck was store in a storage facility. Since the last owner died 15 years ago and his wife passed away 3 years ago, we have little information on the truck. The information that was passed down by attorneys and distant family members is the following. The previous owner was a fellow that lived and worked in Charleston SC, sounded like he was the original owner. At one point the owner worked for the Charleston Police Department in the 70’s. The truck was repainted and body work done in the 80’s, it was painted black and white, same color as Charleston City police vehicles. The truck then had some mechanical issue, looks like a bad head gasket. The truck was parked and then store between 1996 and 2001. We purchased the truck and brought it back to be a driver. There is little rust. The ruff part is the common area above the windshield. The rest of the truck is in great shape. The usual spots, the corners and fenders and floors are in great shape, no rust. The last restoration addressed any rust issues. So when we bought the truck we have done no body work. The original wooden bed was covered up by metal. What we did to get the truck back on the road. Removed the head, was totally rebuilt. Carburetor rebuilt. All new distributor, new plugs and wires. New water pump and new master cylinder, rebuilt radiator, all new hoses and thermostat. Braking system completely rebuilt. New pads, new rotor, wheel cylinders and lines. The bench seat was completely redone, taken to the frame, painted new foam and new vinyl, looks great. Gas tank drained and cleaned. 16 inch wheels and wagons wheel replaced original steel wheels. Have three of the original wheels, sand blasted and painted red. Truck on the inside is completely original and in great shape. All lights work and no electric issues. The paint is good, it can be polished and would look great. The main issue. The engine must have more issues than just a bad head. The engine runs ruff and smokes, looks line one of the push rods does not go up and down. See video http://youtu.be/gcMPAZ7CS_U So most likely needs an engine rebuilt or replacement. It does start, but runs really ruff but can be moved around and driven on a trailer. Please email me any questions, the truck cannot be driven home, must be towed. Can help with shipping, please ask questions before bidding. The truck is for sale locally, 60’s C-10 short bed step sides are getting harder to fine. ThanksCouldn't up load all the pictures I have, can take more and send them by email. Thanks
