For sale is my 1987 Chevrolet Caprice 9C1 detective model. This is a great car that I've owned for over a year and since i got it I have gone through the whole car. It runs, drives, and shifts great. I've rebuilt the factory carburetor, replaced the distributor, ignition module, coil, spark plugs, spark plug wires, cap and rotor, air filter, battery, water pump, fan clutch, alternator, center link, sway bar links, aligned the car so it drives nice and straight, speedometer cable, brake master cylinder, front pads and rotors, wheel cylinders, pinion seal, drained all the fluids on the car so their all fresh and clean, the transmission was rebuilt 30000 miles ago and the radiator was replaced at the same time along with the hoses, i replaced the right side exhaust manifold and the gaskets on both sides along with doing the smog pump delete and plugged the manifolds, and replaced all 5 tires (fullsize spare replaced) with cooper trendsetter tires about 1000 miles ago, and the oil cooler and lines are brand new. Overall this is a great running car and the motor is very strong. It has the factory 350 cubic inch engine, a 700r4 automatic overdrive transmission, and the larger 8.5 inch rear end non posi traction. Body wise i had the entire car stripped down to bare metal and everything from front to back and all the jambs were repainted. The bumpers, grille, headlamp bezels, emblems and most of the trim are brand new NOS replacement parts. I also had the front windshield replaced. Its a pretty straight car and if your looking for a police model Caprice, you know its getting harder to find nice ones. This one also has the working factory installed unity spotlight which is a must have along with antennas mounted on the quarter panels and hideaways in the rear tail lights. The interior is in very good condition considering its a police model and has only 2 very small tears in the front seat and normal cracking in the dashboard. the headliner is brand new and this car has the dual dome lights, the auxiliary gauges with a coolant, voltage, and oil pressure gauge all in good working order. It also has the factory 125 mph speedometer and a base am/fm stereo, manual lock and manual windows. This car is priced very accordingly and unfortunately I'm only selling it because I'm out of space now that i got another vehicle. Please take into account the amount of work that has been put into the car. Its well worth it and I'd like it to go to a good home.
