Any car that had so much of a presence in NASCAR was bound for collectability. It DOMINATED the tracks 1976 was the last year of production for the Laguna S3 before it was deemed an ‘Aero-Car’ by NASCAR and banned in 1977. Any speculation that this ‘might’ one day soon be a highly sought after car is truly crazy. This Laguna is very well optioned with Tilt Column, Cruise Control, Air Conditioning, Gauge Package and Remote Mirrors among others. There has been some restoration effort placed into this one. The body has a driver-quality repaint in Arctic White. The panels line up well. Consider this a 20 footer. This is a factory ½ vinyl top car and a top has not been installed obviously. A top will need to be sourced as we did not get one with the car. There is some rust in the floors and rear trunk pan. The car can easily be driven as is but would be best repaired in a restoration situation.The interior has had new front seat upholstery and the rest of the panels appear to be in good condition. The headliner was replaced with a new one. This Laguna has the gauge package with a factory vacuum gauge. Everything seems to be in place with the exception of the factory radio having been removed. The interior presents very well and is extremely comfortable. The optional 350 V8 2 Barrel is the NUMBERS MATCHING ORIGINAL ENGINE that still has the factory equipped vacuum hose retainers & fittings. It fires up easily and runs great! The wheels have been upgraded with 15” Deep Dish Corvette Styled Steel Wheels and White Letter Tires. Not many cars from 1976 have a good look to them, this one looks fast just standing still.
