Vehicle Detail
1982 Honda CBX, 1050CC Inline 6 Cylinder. 370 actual original miles. I am the third owner, bought it with 70 miles on it in 2002. I know the previous 2 owners. This bike was bought new and put in a climate controlled collection, and always has been since. I am divesting my collection due to health issues. The only non original parts are tires and a new battery. Bike starts and runs perfectly. Oil has been changed yearly and bike has been started and driven at least 4 times a year. After each run, carbs are drained, and oil is put in each cylinder. No rust in tank, non ethanol fuel only used. Tools and manual come with bike. Call or email me with any questions. I will hold bike for up to three weeks so you can arrange shipping, I will not help ship. Non refundable Five Hundred dollar ($500) deposit due within three days of auction ending. Bike will not leave until check or wire transfer clears. Inspection of bike prior to purchase is suggested. I will work with you as best I can. *****Special Note***** This IS NOT, I repeat, This bike "IS NOT" a school bike!!!! This bike is 100% legitimate, authentic, and original and in perfect running/working condition-a true collector's item. E-mail me or call 843/345-4196 The reserve on this bike is exceedingly reasonable considering it's age, condition, and rarity! VIN# JH2SC0600CC402411On Jun-09-15 at 09:54:47 PDT, seller added the following information: I'm going to try and answer some of the hundreds of questions and calls that I've gotten about the bike. I have an original key and a spare, will look for the other original. Bike was built in 10/81, never had any air suspension problems. As of now, have not been able to find the original owners manual, believe it's around. If found will of course go with the bike or I will mail it to the new owner. Slight blueing of the pipes in the pictures was like that when I got it. Took the carbs out several years ago and went through them and synchronized them as a preventative measure, runs perfectly. Started and ran it up the road last night and noticed rear brake was slightly sticking. If I have time I will try to see what's going on. Front rotors are not warped. Replaced original tires with Metzlers, and has a new battery. Please, if you have any other questions, call or email before end of auction. Reserve has been met, so good luck! This is a truly gorgeous and preserved bike.
