1975 Honda CB

Up for auction is a beautifully restored 1975 CB 550 K1I purchased this bike a few years ago as a complete bike, as shown in photos. The bike was completely disassembled, the frame was sand blasted and powder coated with all brackets and both stands. The bike was finished with some slight modifications. Both fenders were sectioned/shortened and rechromed keeping the factory edge bead. Brake line stay and speedo cable hoop are present. Rear has mounting holes intact with a Lucas repro tail light. The tank was cleaned and sealed before being masterfully repainted by Brent @ The Vintage Vendor. Painted in the original colors with silver base, metal flake, candy tangerine, black panels, stripes and lots of clear. I used the 1974 style panels w/ faring and side covers to match. All frame tabs remain intact so minor modifications can be returned to stock. All original hardware was cad plated. All rubbers were replaced with new ones. The bike has new fork tubes with progressive rate springs and All Balls head bearings. Front brake master was updated to a newer style and 1 pc. braided line to caliper. Factory seat pan was shortened and recovered but retains all mounts, pads and lock. Almost all NOS parts were used and the ones I could not find were restored. New DID rims were re-laced w/ new spokes on polished hubs with new Dunlop K-70s. The engine, which is a bit older than the frame, was completely rebuilt by Adam at Phoenix Cycles. Keith Pruyne restored the carbs to show condition. Jetted for new MAC 4 into 1 exhaust. Factory air box is in place. The bike only has a few miles and rides as new.
