Vehicle Detail
1979 Honda CB750K with the same adult owner for the past 24 years. Always garaged, never in the rain, low mileage of 17,499. All factory stickers still in place. Never been repainted and the paint and pin striping are as new. Please keep in mind that this originality cannot be replaced. You cannot duplicate the fact that there are absolutely no scratches, dents, chips, broken pieces, etc. on this bike. Nothing has ever been repainted, it is exactly as it left the factory some 36 years ago. First year double overhead cam produces 72 HP at 9000 rpm. Only year boat tail design. Exhaust system replaced many years ago with a four into one Kerker system. Recent NGK plugs, carb cleaning, Wix oil filter with fresh Lucas Semi-synthetic oil, and sealed for life battery. The gas tank has been drained and refilled with no evidence of rust. The brakes work perfectly, it shifts fine and goes down the road smoothly. The tires are older but still have plenty of tread and do not leak air. It has many Hondaline accessories including a rack with back rest, hard plastic lockable trunks, tubular engine guards with dual foot rests, and throttle lock. Also has frame mounted Vetter Windjammer fairing with windshield and windshield vents, with two compartments one that locks and all painted to match. The original tool kit is in place and complete and it comes with a factory shop manual. The seat is like new (never recovered) and the chrome excellent. The accessories and exhaust system alone are worth close to the reserve price. This bike deserves to be in a museum or in motorcycle shows, it is that nice. Now for the one bad thing. It starts and runs but needs some carb work to be totally driveable. The carbs have been cleaned but still need some tinkering with to make it run perfectly. Unfortunately I do not have the time or place to run it and finish tuning it up. Maybe some simple running it and cleaning it out further with something like Seafoam is all it needs. But believe me it will be worth the effort to get it to run right, bikes this old and this nice are rare indeed! So buy it, enjoy it as is with or without the side bags. Remove some of the accessories if you want it to look sportier or turn it into a cafe racer. Everything is there and in perfect condition. A $500.00 deposit on PayPal is required at the end of the auction with the balance due at pick up. The bike must be picked up or arrangements made by the buyer to have it picked up. I will be helpful, but will not make any arrangements for delivery.
