Vehicle Detail

Here is an unmolested, all original, California spec, 1988 Jeep Grand Wagoneer. This was an impulse purchase for me last summer. I'm a CJ guy myself and have owned many CJ's, an XJ, one YJ, all years ago, but never a full size Jeep. When I stumbled across it, I couldn't pass it up. The owner told me he brought it from California to Indiana two years ago, didn't drive it much anymore, so he decided to sell it. Unfortunately, it has just sat in my driveway since I purchased it while I've been busy with the house, deck, bikes, and other chores. I still have a couple of CJ's and with a second Scrambler arriving soon, I'm old and wise enough to know that my time is the most valuable thing I have and which projects come first and what I'll have time for. Like I said, this Wagoneer is all original. It spent almost it's entire life in CA and it shows. The body and frame are 100% rot free. Except for one small dent under one of the rear windows, the body is damage free and still has the original paint. The CA sun took it's toll though because the paint is very tired. Most of the clear coat has peeled from the roof and hood. The sun also faded the wood graining on the rear tailgate and caused it to start peeling. Mechanically, it runs and drives down the road just fine. The engine is quiet with no knocks or ticks. The tires are weather checked, but I think you could drive this Jeep home anywhere in the country. I just put a brand new radiator in it because the original one was starting to leak. All the power locks and windows work and the windows actually go up and down at normal speed. I've included several pictures of the interior so you can see the condition. I will mention that the radio and courtesy lights don't work and that the headliner is sagging above the driver and passenger seats. The AC is also not currently working. Like most old Jeeps, it will leave a few drops of oil underneath after a drive. This Jeep could make someone a good driver or a great candidate for a full restoration. Prices for these things are all over the place. I'm not sure what it's worth, I'm just hoping to break even on what I have invested to help pay for the second Scrambler that will be arriving soon. One important note. This Jeep could be legally taken back and registered in California because it is a CA spec vehicle and all of the original emission equipment is still in place. I have a clean, clear, Indiana title in my name in hand. Your welcome to come and inspect in person if you wish. Feel free to ask any questions you may have. Payment: I will ask for a small non-refundable deposit if it sells. The remainder WILL BE DUE IN CASH when picked up. If you want to have it shipped, then I would accept a cashier's check for the balance and the Jeep would be available to the shipper after the check clears. Thanks for looking. On Jun-01-15 at 16:12:28 PDT, seller added the following information: I've gotten a few questions asking about the AC. Today I went out and looked at it. The compressor is not seized. I pulled vacuum on it for a half hour and then put a couple of cans of 134 in it to test it. The pressures were not as high (20/160) as I think they should be but it did blow cold air. It was only about 60 degrees today so that probably doesn't mean much. It's supposed be in the 70's and 80's on Wednesday and Thursday, so I'll try the AC again then and see if still blows cold and post the results. On Jun-04-15 at 13:10:01 PDT, seller added the following information: AC update 6/4. This afternoon, I checked the AC again and it is still blowing cold air. I can't guarantee if it's working 100% or if there are any leaks. For those that were asking or wondering about the AC, for now, it is working. Thanks to all for your bids and whoever the new owner will be.
