SUPER clean! 7 pages in Custom Classic Trucks magazine (Feb 2012) Super nice paint job.This is a special mixed color. The paint job has been machine sanded, wetsanded and buffed. Title in hand! Reason for selling - My 1972 Montego GT 429 (521) is completed. I have 1500+ hours into this restoration. The color is very close to the color you see on the NEW Kia Soul (not the previous green color that was shown in the commercials with the hamsters. The truck was painted by the time that color came out. Static drop (7" and 5" ) Rides great! Truck has never been raced. Garaged when not driven No scratches, gouges, dings, dents. Both green and the black are in EXCELLENT condition!!! Dynamat was installed on interior New inner and outer rockers Hood was off of a fire truck (NO rust which is almost impossible to find for these trucks!) The hood closes perfect No rust on the roof. Still shows original welds (again hard to find) Complete truck was stripped and bodyworked (see all the pics in the above link!) Power brakes (stops on a dime!!!) Power steering Stainless gate hinges and hidden latches New rear bed sill Doors are 'original'. NO rust. Original 'lips'. No replacement panels were used. Widened tubs with factory look Hidden fasteners on the bed stripes Black stained and dyed bed wood (stain clearcoated)New tailgate (also shaved the latches) New bed front panel Bumper bolts on both bumpers were shaved Built 200-4r SHIFTS good and hard! 4:10 gears (all new rear) Hidden battery - CPP drop down box Old style stereo with 4 speakers (dash is not cut up!!) All lights work correctly (park lamps go off when headlights turn on which is original) Front lights are halogens and run off 2 relays New park/turn signal lenses have been clearcoated with black dye) Custom made drive shaft 2 tranny coolers Elec fan (runs about 170 very consistently even in traffic) 3 row alum radiator Chrome brake booster and master cylinder New windshield All the satin black is a true basecoat/clearcoat True "Custom" cab! (includes the sail trim, side moldings, front window trim, alum grill which is now painted). Custom cab trim and the stainless front windshield trim are the original that came with this truck. MOST of the side moldings are original 2 this truck. The side trim is polished raw alum. New side glass Hidden bolts on both bumpers and rear bumper filler New vent assy Professionally bodyworked and painted 20" rims with G-Force tires Switch to manually turn on fan (also has thermostat that turns on fan) Switch to manually turn off electric pump. All gauges are 'electric' (not mechanical). $1000+ just in gauges. $1500 Gaylords tonneau cover w/ remote(clamp on, no bolts). Has a light that automatically turns off after about 5 minutes.
