This car new, was around $140k. Now, you can get it for under $40k. Basically, this is like buying a nearly-new SL600, but you don't get a warranty. Under 26,000 miles at time of listing. Second-owner, and perfect maintenance record. There really is not another car out there like this. The car's home is in beautiful, sunny Santa Monica, CA. What you do get is a well taken care of car that has been a collector's car, and now my car. There have been 2 owners, both California-owned. Both Mercedes enthusiasts who have dealer-maintained the car since day 1. No accidents, paintwork, or surprises. This really is a car that you can break-in to your own liking and keep for a long, wonderful while.The rims are $10k custom Momos. 20" deep dish, 3 piece staggered rims. I've gotten a lot of compliments on them for their look. Unfortunately they are not original wheels. However, either you are going for the look of chrome and black rims, or you can probably find factory rims and re-install them.The engine itself is to be coveted. The production run of the SL600 is extremely limited, so the detail that goes into these engines is unprecedented. You get 0-60 in under 3.6 seconds. It is very quick, both in auto-drive, or paddle-shift and you get added HP. There is Sport or Comfort mode, Sport ups the RPM's so it adds to the performance. Another option is to chip the engine and make it a sub-3 second car. This can be done for a few grand, I believe.The hardtop convertible is great, it runs flawlessly. Hold the button close to the shifter, and the top is down in about 7 seconds. There is a retractable wind visor and roll bar, so you can ride with the top down and windows up, but barely feel any wind around you. The rear window is tinted, along with the mini-windows that are adjacent to the driver/passenger windows. Not a chip in the windshield, perfectly smooth.The body is in great shape. It has the AMG-body package, so it looks pretty aggressive, not your grandfather's get-around-town car. On either side of the car you will see the V12 logo adorning it. Black grill on the front. No dents or dings to speak of.The interior is beautiful and in great condition. Chestnut burl wood trim, chestnut steering wheel, and nappa full stitched softt leather interior. Calaterra suede interior is very light, so it adds a nice ambiance to the car. There is a CD changer and Sirius XM radio. Bluetooth phone system. Xenon HID headlights.Keyless entry, touch-button start. When it fires up it makes a nice growl and hum sound. Very attractive and deep-start sound. Also, push button trunk. Two keys, all manuals. Don't have all the service records, but do have some. Recently redid the AC, so there are a couple new hoses and fresh freon. AC is dual-zone automatic and works perfectly.You should run Premium 91 Octane gas for the motor. I've gotten consistently around 19mpg in the city. Since it's a smaller car and has MB technology, the gas efficiency isn't as poor as you might think for a V12.For the new owner, I will have it professionally detailed just prior to pickup and ready for you to drive away and have fun.
