My Grandparents bought this car new in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. I bought it from my Grandmother about four years ago when she could no longer drive, at which time it had 56,000 original miles. I have put on an additional 21,000 miles bringing it up to 77,620. The good: It has always had the best care possible with regular oil changes and maintenance. I have had new brakes and tires put on in the past two years. It is an excellent runner, with cruise control and ice cold air conditioning. The 3.8 Liter engine runs great, and it shifts, drives, and stops like a low mileage car. It is a pretty big engine for a small car and has very good performance. I would not hesitate to drive it to California today. The interior is very nice with a good headliner, seats that look like new, and all electrical items work. The not so good: The carpets are dirty, and the seat belt buckles have lost they're covers for some reason, but work as they should. The cold idle seems kind of high to me. It has a new mass air flow sensor and throttle position sensor, and my mechanic said he can turned the idle down. I just haven't done it. The ugly: Rust, and lots of it. Solid floors, but the rockers and bottoms of the doors are pretty crusty. The power steering lines leak. The tranny cooler lines leak. My mechanic said the fuel and brake lines at the back of the car are rusty and will need to be replaced soon. If you want a beater that will start every day, this is your car. The drive train has an easy 100,000+ miles left in it. Some repairs will get you a good car that will last for many more years. I can store it indoors a reasonable amount of time. I will take a check or cash for payment, with the car staying in my possession until the check clears. I will absolutely not take paypal in any amount. I will not sell this car out of the U.S.A.
