My microbus was restored prior to my purchase in May of 2010. The restoration included complete body work including front floor sections, both doglegs and left and right inner and outer rocker boxes. All interior trim is Wolfsburg West. The engine was rebuilt to stock 51 H.P. using the updated 1600 cc motor. I have changed oil yearly using Brad Penn oil and have adjusted the valves yearly. The tires have 2000 miles on them. There are numerous small parts to get the van to stock including: new horn button, repaired clock and re-chromed surround, new washer bottle, WW deluxe moldings, powder coated bumpers with deluxe moldings, stainless steel safari windows, all new exterior door handles, new fried egg turn signals and rear tail lights, new trim rings, new stock carb, new starter, new fuel tank and lines, new front bushings, rebuilt brakes front and rear including master cylinder and wheel bearings, new transmission mounts and bushings, Woody's AM FM stereo, sunvisors, floor mats, sandblasted power coated seat frames, new horsehair pads, sound deadening throughout. Speedometer needle broken in half, bought replacement early on and have put 5000 miles since I have had it.
