Vehicle Detail
I very recently purchased this black on black 2004 S4 that I spent months looking for, but soon realized I'm really looking for a different weekend car. There are lots of B6 S4's around 100k miles on the market as that's when they start showing signs of the timing chain failure and most people would rather just sell the car than pay the $8k service bill. That's why this car was hard to find - this S4 had the timing chain service around 12k miles / 1.5 years ago from a respected Audi shop. It's also been a Southwestern (New Mexico) car most of its life so there is zero rust on the car. Even the undercarriage and suspension components are remarkably clean.I have service records from around 50k miles onward. As it has been daily driven for most of its life, the car does show signs of its age:- A few scratches, scrapes, rock chips, and minor dings on the body. Nothing major. Paint is in good condition overall. - Driver's seat window switch/lock panel have some pealing on the buttons as do some on the center console (an unfortunate normal occurrence on B6 Audi's but easily replaced if you want to)- Headliner is a little wavy in a few spots- 2 of the injector harness clips have broken locking tabs so they are currently zip-tied to the fuel rail- Some wear on the driver's seat bolster- Couple hairline cracks in the center console and wood trim clearcoat- Front brake pad sensor is on as the car currently has aftermarket pads which do not have built in sensors. The pads are almost new and have plenty of life though. The light will go off if you replace with OEM brake pads.- Missing the rear ash tray. This is around $30-$50 used and can be found easily. I bought it like this and just didn't have the time to look for one. These cars are becoming much harder to find in good condition. Clear title. No accidents.Send me a message if you'd like some higher resolution photos or the carfax. Below are the service records that I have paperwork for or have been able to determine from carfax records.
