This is a one owner, R1200S, clean, excellent condition bike with roughly 1823 miles at the time of the listing, so more miles may occur between now and the auction end. This bike was in a heated building lobby on display since 2009 taken out for a ride once in a blue moon. Battery and fuel removed. It now has a new battery and recent oil and filter change and fuel. This is the more track ready version of the R1200S with Olin suspension front and rear and a wide rear tire set up with no ABS. Other R1200S have ABS standard tires and suspension. This is a comfortable sport bike and best used on mountain twisties, where those high reving high hp bikes cannot beat this horizontally opposed, high torque, boxer engine, which puts the weight down low into the corners pulls out better than a GP bike. All service work was done at the Second Wind BMW where is was purchased new, only been there twice once for the approximately 1100 new bike check up and once to be checked out prior to this sale and an oil and filter change, 1823 miles. The dealer gave this bike a clean bill of health and specifically at first suggested to change the tires but then after inspection said the tires are good. If a third party is needed to inspect the bike at the buyers expense Second Wind is a good choice. There are three areas where minor scratches have appeared, 1) On the front light plastic shield,from something that chaffed up against it 2) a light scratch on the lower right windshield area about 1.5 -2" long and 3) Left on black fairing next to the windscreen is a faint scratch on the black paint near the windshield that happened when removing the the windshield to clean it from the metal clips. Otherwise this bike is in showroom condition in classic BMW black. Money order from a known verifiable bank, Cash, or pay pal prior to transfer of bike and title. Bike is sold as is with no warranty and no return offered. The bike can be shipped at the buyers arrangement and expense. I will cooperate to make sure it gets on the truck in good shape or picked up. I am sorry but I will not crate the bike. I will consider delivery in my covered trailer, in a reasonable distance along the east coast, if its inspected third party, paid for and insured by the buyer for 0.55 per mile each way added to the invoice.
