Here's a car for the guy who wants something other than what his buddy's are cruising. 1962 Rambler American. Starting with an original 54,000 mile car with original faded paint we used a Fatman front clip for a lowered stance, ride and disk brake combo. 350 Chev motor with a TH350 Auto trans. Ford 8" rear end. Jason Rushforth wheels 18" & 17". We recovered the interior with original fabric and used riveted aluminum panels for an industrial look. Original Cal Custom hood scoop. 55 Buick grill bar. Custom vintage drag race gauge pod. All work done by Roger Burman's Lakeside Rods. This is a zero rust car with the most excellent 50 year patina you'll ever find. No radio, no A/C, no frills....all cool. Priced way under what it took to build this car...way under. Note: Because I've had a few ask...No, that picture with the tire smoke is not photo shopped. It was part of a photo shoot with Car Craft magazine. I just thought of one thing that you should know. As you can see in the pictures, there are windshield wipers on the car, however, there is no wiper motor to run them. RainX is what I use.
