Vehicle Detail

I WOULD LIKE TO START OUT BY SAYING THIS IS NOT A RAT ROD,THIS IS A NICE BUILT HOT ROD THAT I HAVE PUT ABOUT 4K MILES ON SINCE SEPTEMBER,DRIVE IT TO A SHOW,WIN,DRIVE IT BACK HOME.IT IS A CENTER FOLD MAGAZINE CAR,THIS IS THE ONLY ONE IN EXISTANCE AND I HAVE BUILD PICTURES FROM 1983......LOOK AT ALL PICTURES AND ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU BID.THE RESERVE WILL NOT BUILD THIS CAR.Fits 2 adults and two kids comfortable.I am selling to build another, and another and another. This is a 1946 Chevrolet truck that the cab was stretched in 1983 by my father. The cab was stretched 19 inches to accomodate two adults and two kids,The car has 4 bomber seats, two large in the front two smaller in the rear for kids. The rear seats have seat belts the front does not.The car was rebuilt in 2015 by me,I chopped the top 6 inches. The cab has had black name brand bedliner shot on the inside and in the door jambs,The battery is mounted in the floor under the passanger seat. The cowl vent works,ALL GLASS and ASSOCIATED WEATHERSTRIPS ARE NEW AND REAL DOT GLASS,NO CRACKS,The glass rolls up and down as it should and were installed by safelite auto glass. The vinyl top is new in sept. The paint is a urethane based single stage which can be buffed if you want. The paint is nice,it does have a few rock chips on the rear fenders, which were bedlined and painted.I drive the car regularly.I put paintable bedliner on the rear fenders and bottom 6 inches of the body to try to help with chips, also it is easier to touch up paint with the bedliner texture. The dash of the car is satin blue as well as the firewall. When I did the rebuild I built it for a magazine build off and painted it satin blue to drive to Nashville from Va.(trouble free to and from 1300 miles)When I got back I put the car the color my dad painted it in 1986.The color is Case orange.Under the hood is still the original truck brown patina The engine is a 1974 305 with a 490/490 camshaft that generally goes in a late model dirt track car, but, they give out of this world sound and fuel mileage.I am guessing I get 28 -31 mpg.(your driving habits will effect the mileage)and still runs a 2bbl carb.all the electronic ignition, spark plugs, plugs.waterpump, alt, battery, belts, radiator, electric fan oil pump, are all new in Sept.the car has wetter water and antifreeze in the radiator, the radiator is a 67 mustang. The bottom of the radiator has a jack mark on it but does not effect cooling. It has a trans cooler in front of the radiator.Iwas intending to pull a trailer. The steering box is nissan truck, the front axle was a old 50's speed item from speedway, wheel cylinders front and rear are all new,all break pads were new,4000 miles ago,the transmission is automatic 3 speed, the rear was a the rear that was in the original build when my dad did it,its a 12 bolt.gears we dont know,he thinks 411 or 373.im unsure,I never really cared. The engine when i bought it has 29k miles on it.I had all necessary gaskets put on it when the cam and lifters were changed.cam and lifters are Comp Cam. The interior is new grey carpet and all new tan door panels and rear inner quarter panels. The car has HEAT AND A GLOVE COMPARTMENT,The car has signals, headlights, brake lights, running lights, no radio,no wiper. the frame is 2X6 3/16 wall tubing back to under the seats then it uses the original truck frame, which looks super good and was toughfrom the factory. The front half of the frame is drilled and sleeved from the firewall to the axle, the frame was painted with bedliner.the frame tapers from 6 ant the firewall to about 3 at the axle. The rear shocks are coil overs(i do not know what kind) the front shocks are adjustable lever shocks.(again, dont know what kind)the front axle was drilled from the factory. the shifter is a mustang II shifter that was extended to about 21",still uses the lock to lock it in park.No neutrul safety switch,it will start in gear. the wheels are very vintage slots,15X7 on the rear,14x6 on the front, the front tires are new 3000 miles ago,the rears are vintage nos fiberglass reinforced g70 series tires, never used until now.The front tires need rebalancing i lost a weight on the way back from nashville. The speedometer works but is 10 off,it has a small leak at the cable, depending where you park the car,in a week it drips mabey a 50 cent piece sized drip if you drive the car every day.I drive it every day that it is sunny, its the only thing i own that i dont have to worry about driving anywhere,i never seen it leak with the cable out of the car, possible speedo cable problem? The car has a temp guage, the car runs about 195-200 all the time.(your driving habits couold change this as well) oil pressure guage works,40lbs gas guage is there but no sending unit in the tank, car holds 10.3 gallons of fuel.gas filler kneck is below rear window the top has aluminum bows under the vinyl, the top can be rolled back with the fasteners removed. the exhaust are roadster headers that exit under the doors, they have mufflers, you can hear each other talk and use a telephone whiler driving down the road. The car drives and rides like a roadster the louvered air cleaner is sticking through the hood the fuse box in under the pass andger kick panel and everything is fused separately the engine is clean. the car is TAGGED ,INSURED,title is 1946 chevrolet truck in VIRGINIA with the same vin number that it had when my dad bought it in 1981.vin tags were put in the doors in 1983,check your state laws on custom cars. This car was build over 30 years ago. As far as im concerned the car wouds make it east to west coast no problems, however no guarantees or warrantees implied or offered. You are welcome to come and look at the car in person and verify the ad..please look at all pictures before you bid. This is a binding contract.IF YOU ARE THE WINNER YOU ARE THE OWNER.I can send other pictures by text if needed*****************************************************,the car (in blue with different wheels)can be seen on youtube on the channel AMERICANRUSTREVIVAL. my number is 540-597-3883 NO WARRANTEES OR REFUNDS OFFERED ON ANY PART OF THE CAR .When the car is paid for there will be no tags or insurance on it.This is a 60 year old car,it is not a new car with a warrantee.
