Classic 1966 Thunderbird Convertible with Rare Roadster Kit. This BEAUTIFUL TEXAS dry climate car 1966 Ford Thunderbird Convertible with the very rare Roadster Package IS PRICED TO MOVE!!! This car includes the removable fiberglass roadster kit and with Cragar wire wheels (these are actual spokes not hubcaps). Overall, the car is in great shape, but not in Concourse d' elegance condition. I restored the vehicle around 7 years ago and have daily driven it mostly during the cooler months(It is too hot to drive this car in the South Texas Summer Heat!!!). As this car was driven it has a few small scratches and minor paint chips. However, as you can see in the photos, nothing that stands out. You really have to look to find them. The paint still shines brightly. It won several trophy's in car shows around South Texas. It has a 390ci V8. The odometer reads 86,495. It runs very strong and cruises easily at 80+ mph on the highway. I live in a VERY hot area in Texas and I drive the car in triple-digit temperature all the time. The engine still runs cool. 1966 was the first year that Ford added Front Disc Brakes to the Thunderbird and the car stops great. The interior is in good condition. There are no rips or tears but the seat cushions are starting to look their age, what can you expect from a car that is almost 50 years old. It has a 6-way power driver's seat, power door locks, and the slide-away steering wheel which makes it easy to enter and exit the vehicle. It has power windows and they all work GREAT. The convertible top vinyl is in EXCELLENT condition. The up/down functions of the top works like clockwork! This Car comes with FACTORY A/C!!!! NADA Guides place the value of the 1966 Thunderbird Convertible between $31k to $51k. This is for the regular convertible and does not take into account the Roadster Option and the Factory Air Conditioner! These optional parts are almost impossible to find anymore. This car has been wonderful and attracts attention whenever and wherever I drive it. It starts every time and is a pleasure to drive.
