This is a super rare find and collectors need to take note. 1969 El Camino, with the numbers matching L89 396ci motor, numbers matching muncie 4 speed, and original 12 bolt posi-trac rear end. There were only a select few of these cars built. It was $348 add just to get an SS in 1969, then another $253 to get the L78, but the real kicker was the $648 add on top of all of that to get the ultra rare L89 option. And to find one here, with its original drivetrain! This is a great driving vehicle, steering and brakes are tight. The interior is in great shape. There is a small amount of paint bubbling behind the tires. This is one for the collectors though with the only recent sale of a restored L89 El Camino reaching $90,000! Car has had a repaint (white) and has aftermarket intake and carb. Original casting, date code correct intake, carb, and heads are all available separately. This is more rare than the L88 Corvette of the day, the L89 Chevelle, even more rare than the LS6 Chevelle!On Apr-24-15 at 19:59:48 PDT, seller added the following information: To clarify some of the recent inquiries: The only current evidence of the L-89 motor claim is the engine pad stamping as seen in the photos. No Protecto-Plate or Build Sheet has been found. The motor does not have the original aluminum heads, intake or carburetor. The bed is in good shape with no major damage or rust, but does have some dings in it.
