Headers prevent passing California visual SMOG inspection (headers include catalytic converters but are not CARB approved). This is a real ZR-1 with the LT5 engine and ZF6 speed manual transmission. Solid running car, great for cruise nights. Removable top with both the original factory translucent bronze top and solid painted top. I've owned the car for ten years and love it, but we have a new baby in the house and the two-seater doesn't work for us anymore. I've made several modifications but have all original equipment as well. You can turn it on but you get nothing but squealing and static. The driver side seat bolster and recline motors are not functioning. Back and forth and up and down still work, but not the recline or the bolster. The passenger side works great and I've been thinking I would swap the two but just haven't gotten around to it. The driver side seat is also a bit worn. There are no severe tears or rips, but the leather is worn near the door where people have been rubbing it as they get in and out for the last 25 years. The LT5 motor is dull and stained, but there are absolutely NO LEAKS. The Corsa exhaust got some red overspray on it when it was repainted two years ago. I'm sure it can be removed, but I've never gotten around to it. The paint is a MAACO job. The original was worn and had badly faded. Since its not a show car for me, I opted for the a cheaper paint job. Still shines and is very glossy after two years. Keeping it in the garage and polished has probably helped keep it that way. It will not pass the California visual SMOG inspection with the headers installed. It passes clean out the tail, but the headers are NOT CARB approved. An exhaust shop wanted $140 to swap in the original manifolds and cats, but I've been able to keep it registered in New Mexico (and I LOVE the sound the headers provide) so I've not registered in California.
