Vehicle Detail

1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1, real Mach 1 with 05 in the VIN. Marti Report included. Originally equipped with a 351 Cleveland 2V, now has a 4V out of a Pantera. Originally had an FMX aut trans, now a modern AOD overdrive aut, and the original FMX is included in the deal. Power steering, power disc brakes, 9” rear axle with 3.0 ratio. The car came with AC but it is now missing. This is a good project car that runs and drives, brakes and steers. The engine is good but needs tune-up. Water pump is leaking. The front suspension is rebuilt. Brakes are ok but needs bleeding. It comes with 15” steel rims, 10” wide in the back and 8” in the front. Good tires. Being a CA car, it is very dry and solid. The body has a fair amount of dings and dents. There is a dent on the right corner that needs to be pulled out and you need to replace that outer and inner corner of the quarter panel. There are some repaired dents behind the battery. Paint is just white primer. The interior is tired original and will need to be redone. It has its correct instrument panel and faux wood on the dash and clock. Here is a car that you can do a light clean-up on and enjoy driving, or do a full restoration on to end up with a valuable collector car. Make no mistake, it will need body work, electrical and mechanical work, and interior. It’s not a car you just slap a cheap paint job on and drive every day. I will be happy to answer any relevant questions by phone 714 267-3006 or email, and would like you to inspect the car or send an independent party to inspect it before bidding. Please bid only after measuring your garage, count your dollars, and consult with your wife, dog and anybody you need to ask. If you win the auction and don’t pay, we both lose. Good luck bidding!
