Up for auction is what I call a very nice 1976 MG Midget. This is my wife’s car and she had it gone through back in 2009 and has never sat outside overnight since we owned it. The Midget got a new paint job, engine rebuilt, updated Weber carburetor, new tires, all the brakes gone through with all new cylinders, new convertible top, just so much stuff we can’t even begin to remember it all. Comes complete with spare tire, jack, car cover, and manuals. It is a very stock car for the most part with the exception of the Weber carb. She has won several prizes with it at car shows, been used in lots of pictures. Just a neat good running car that is a lot of fun to drive. Always started right up and purred like it was suppose too. This Midget would make one fun car to drive and tinker on with your wife, daughter, or grandchild. This car could become the new family heirloom. Due to our busy life in general, the car was put in the back of an airplane hanger where it has been sitting now for 2 or 3 years unused and the wife said it was time to sell it and stop storing it and let someone else enjoy it. I would assume the than new battery is probably dead now but may take a charge. The fuel tank did have Stable added to it when parked, but has been sitting a long time. Everything worked perfect when parked as far as to my knowledge. Due to lack of time, it is being sold as is where is, and I would assume the battery to be dead, or at least un-charged. The left mirror is off the door, but included. The Midget is dusty and needs a bath. The tires are still holding air and were new when the wife had everything gone through, probably around 1000 miles on them. It has been indoors since my wife has owned it. It was very rust free I feel, good floorboards etc. I don’t remember any rotted out sheet metal. Not sure if the carb will need cleaned of old fuel or not from setting. I’d guess not, but after sitting so long, who knows. It may fire right up with a good battery. It was sitting on blocks for a time but needed moved a few times and is now on its own tires. Sold as is where is with no warranties implied or expressed. It will need at least some work to get it started, minimum would be a battery charge. Payment is CASH, Cash or CASH. I think you get the idea. Sorry folks, there are just too many forgeries now a days. Any other form of payment will have to clear our bank first, count on a 15 day delay before picking up the car if you pay by any other means except cash. Please understand, if you show up with anything other than CASH to pick up the car, even certified bank notes etc., the car will not leave with you or title signed over to you till the payment clears my bank. No exceptions. Clear Kansas title in hand ready to sign over to new owner once paid for in full and funds clear bank. We can also supply a “Bill of Sale” if needed by Buyer for the state they wish to register the car in. Kansas does not require a bill of sale with a Kansas title. Midget can be picked up near Udall, Kansas 67146 after payment clears our bank or if bringing cash it can be picked up immediately. I can lend a hand to help load on your trailer. One might be able to just put a new battery in it or charge the old one and drive it home, but due to sitting so long I would probably not count on doing it that way. I cannot offer a building for you to work on the car in due to aircraft being stored around it, the risk of damage to something is just too high. Delivery is available for $3.00 a hauling mile as per Map Quest door to door from zip code 67146 for up to 300 miles BUT car MUST be paid for in advance along with shipping costs before I will load it on a trailer for delivery. Also have an extra radiator that was freshly rebuilt, you can have it if you want it. May be some other items, just not sure where all that stuff is anymore and if it’s even still here. You can have anything Midget related that I can find. We use to own a few of these cars and have already sold the others off. If you have questions, please ask them before bidding. This car is being sold as is, where is, with NO returns. Car is for sale locally so we have to reserve the right to end auction without notice.
