1998 BMW 318i Overall Excellent shape from the body, interior and exterior. The vehicle was purchased in 2011 and has had several maintenance repairs including:Rebuilt engine at 143500 miles when purchased new seals installed back of engine case within 4 years Oil pan and seals within 3 yearsFuel filter within 3 yearsSpark plugs and wires including new ignition coil within 4 yearsStarter motor within 4 yearsLeft & right inner & outer tie rods within 2 years5 tires includes full sized spareTwo fuel injectors replaced within 3 yearsNew battery within 1 yearBrake pads replaced within 2 yearsBrake discs in back are brand new installed within 2 yearsBushings replaced on control arm within 3 yearsNew tail light lenses just installed (within last 6 months)New serpentine belt just installed (within last 6 months), Drive shaft was replaced recently (within last 6 months) was a $1200 repair Minor problems include: (applicable) is repair est. cost parts not labor Small oil leak front of engine case but, sealer stops leak during oil changes very minor leak ($350) Small exhaust leak on muffler but very small still has good pressure through exhaust pipes and muffler ($350) Heat isn't working ($250) Traction control needs a speed sensor and reprogram ($225) Windows up front don't roll down so there stuck up with switches pulled ($200) Hood latch engages but, one side the springs push hood up slightly, alarm disables doors requires a key (Assembly $200) Cable from hood to release works but requires replacing vice grips still pop hood very easy just time consuming ($150 repair) Hood doesn't stay up requires some type of vice grips\broom to support air compressed shocks out ($150) Doors lock from the passenger side and trunk only with key ($150) Glove box requires a new lock ($50 new glove box) Rear 6x9 speaker needs to be replaced ($50) Besides these the minor problems they don't require immediate repair as the vehicle locks and drives great. Vehicle interior to exterior is great. Engine has a lot of work done regularly scheduled services and runs unbelievable. Has been checked regularly without any problems major to keep the vehicle driving. The vehicle drives great unbelievable down the interstate and makes great commutes around town without any problem. I'm currently putting $2,500 OBO on this vehicle and its an AS IS SALE. If no minor problems i would ask $3800 such as the clean retail price shows below. And the condition is between very good plus to excellent for Kelly Blue Book pricing which is $2560 also shown below. But, this doesn't include the $1300 drive shaft replacement just within last 6 months. While several upkeep and repairs more recently have been done I have another vehicle family car now and no longer require the BMW.
