Vehicle Detail

Due to a non paying bidder, this truck is back on the block / Please contact me first if you have less than 10 feedback prior to bidding For your consideration, we have a super clean 1972 GMC SWB fleetside pickup truck (affectionately known as "Tomater"). The truck is optioned with the original 350 C. I. D. engine backed by manual shift transmission and 12 bolt rear end. No modifications have been made to the drive train, and it retains a two-barrel carburetor. It has glass pack mufflers behind the original exhaust manifolds, which I assume were placed on this truck in the '70's. The dual exhaust system sounds dandy with a baritone growl. Mechanically speaking, the truck is in very sound condition. It does not smoke or leak any fluid. I had the clutch replaced less that 1,000 miles ago, when the transmission was being repaired for a minor leak. The transmission oil and differential oil were replaced at the same time. There is some minor rust to the driver side rocker panel and some bubbling in the corner of the same door. The passenger side is rust free. There are some dents in the bed, however, the body is in exceptional condition. This truck came off the assembly line in June of 1972 which makes it one of the last trucks produced of this legendary design. The color is original and very rare (special order - see broadcast photo). It looks super cool with the black interior. HISTORY: I purchased this truck 10 years ago off eBay. It has been garage kept since I have owned it. I have driven it less than 2K miles since I have owned it. This truck has less than 97K miles, and I believe this number to be accurate. What I believe to be accurate: This truck was originally from Colorado. the original owner had this truck for over 30 years. I believe I am the third owner. Reason for sale: I recently purchased a survivor 1972 GMC Jimmy, and the sidekick won't let me keep both. I think the pictures will speak for themselves about the condition of this truck. Feel free to ask questions or inspect the truck. Buyer is responsible for scheduling, and paying for, shipping. Contact seller for payment options.
