Vehicle Detail
This machine was disassembled down to the engine and frame to be cleaned , polished and rebuilt. Carbs were rebuilt and the engine received a Honda specified tune -up prior to dis-assembly. Chassis has been completely rebuilt. Steering bearings , swing arm bearings and pivot shaft. Covers were removed polished and new gaskets installed. Front brake system was rebuilt. Rear brake hub disassembled cleaned and pivots greased and reassembled. Oil pump removed checked and installed with new o-rings. Oil pan dropped and cleaned along with pick-up screen. Front forks disassembled, polished and rebuilt. Front and rear wheel bearings installed , SKF or NSK high quality bearings. Hardware and seals replaced as needed. All electronics tested. Connectors removed cleaned and assembled with dielectric grease. The inside of the tank is great. The petcock disassembled cleaned and new screen installed. This machine runs great. Smooth shifting. Handles like new. This machine was rebuilt using Honda OEM parts. With the exception of the steering bearings. I use tapered roller bearings instead of the ball and race type. I do have the mirrors. They were simply not on the bike when pictures were taken. I also have , and is included in this sale , the original crash bar from the dealer. It is in great shape. I have the original Massachusetts title from the original owner. The exhaust on the right side where the header pipe meets the muffler has started to rust. It has not broken through. It is the outer pipe. This machine still has it's original tires. I chose to leave them installed. Surprisingly , they have no dry rot. This is an option for a collector. I would recommend new tires for daily use. The motor mount bolt you see missing in the pictures is included with the crash bar, as with the other necessary hardware needed to install. In closing : My name is Adam. I build/service/repair and restore Vintage Honda motorcycles from 1969-1978 , 6 days/week in a private 1000 sq/ft shop in Massachusetts. I reserve the right to end this listing at any time , due to local sale. I can be reached for questions @ 617-816-2037, 10am-8pm (EST), daily. Thank You.
