Vehicle Detail

Up for bid is my 1967 Volvo 122 S two door. Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 This is a California black plate rust free car that spent most of its years in the Palo Alto area. It has 91,500 original miles on it and is now in North Central Florida. The car is in great condition from top to bottom and has had one recent repaint in original code # 92 Helgren, but I had the top accented in a dark forest green. All trim (except window trim) bumpers, badges, grille, etc. were removed prior to painting. Inside trunk, door jams and engine bay were also painted. Wind lace and headliner are new. This car can be driven as reliable as any late model car and gets 32 plus mpg on regular gasoline. I have numerous records and receipts that go with the car as well as an old California emissions certificate. I am retired and only drive on weekends and always have the car serviced with full synthetic lubricants. This is a show quality 122 that you can also drive every day. The underside of the car is in wonderful condition and has the factory undercoating all intact and in good shape. There are no underside rust issues as well as the rest of the car. Factory options are: Power front disc brakes 2 speed wipers 3 speed heater blower Windshield washer 4 speed manual transmission Safety upgrades are: 3 point safety belts European style headrests I.P.D. heavy duty 1” anti sway bar 7 ½” wide Ford wheels for better stability and ride. The original 5” Volvo wheels with classic Michelin tires, wheel covers and beauty rings come with the car. High mount brake light at base of inside rear window Reliability improvements are: Electronic ignition instead of breaker points (the original distributor and coil come with the car) Life time exhaust system IPD stainless steel timing gears instead of the factory failure prone fiber gears Professionally remanufactured and chrome plated carburetors This car draws a lot of attention at the shows and needs nothing. The doors close tight at the push of one finger and engine starts up with just a bump of the starter. As any Volvo enthusiast knows the B-18 engine is capable of running up three and four hundred thousand miles without a rebuild. On a scale of 1 – 10 the paint is a solid 8. The stainless trim has a few minor dings but shines well and has a good finish. The bumpers are in overall good condition with some pitting of the chrome on the driver side front section. The bumper guards have a couple of dings, but all trim is in very presentable condition. Please ask any and all questions before your bid. I have set my reserve very low for a car of this caliber. Thank you for looking and good luck on your bidding.
