Welcome. Up for sale is a 2008 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 2 Door. 3.8 liter V6 engine. 6 speed manual transmission. Four wheel drive. This rugged, off-road ready Jeep has average mileage for the year at 146K. Overall, the condition, cosmetically and mechanically, is good. If you are seeking a Wrangler with great eye appeal and lots of life left for the road or trail, or both, with the benefit of a 2 year/24K mile limited powertrain warranty, this is the perfect Jeep for you! The Autocheck Vehicle History report is clean, and I will gladly email the report to any interested party. (For some reason, the Autocheck is not showing up on the listing). Prospective buyers do not need to purchase an Autocheck. We will provide a free Autocheck on any of our vehicles offered for sale. This Wrangler has an accident free history report with no title/problem checks, no odometer discrepencies, and scores an 91/100 with 2 owners since new.
Inspection/Warranty: It has a current PA state inspection until September of 2015, but we have disclosed below what it will need to pass PA state inspection again in September. Please be aware that if you live outside of Pennsylvania, we cannot guarantee that the Jeep will pass your state's inspection as rules vary from state to state. Furthermore, we will not be held liable in any way for any such repairs or non-conformity.
PSI (Pennsylvania State Inspection)/Used Car checklist:
1. Needs balljoints
2. Has no spare tire or holder
3. No third brake lamp (on spare tire holder from factory)
4. Front rotors could use replaced/resurfaced
Value: This Wrangler Rubicon, as equipped, has a NADA retail value of $18,125~, making our buy it now an outright bargain for any Jeep lover, especially considering the value (over $1,500- of the included 2 year limited powertrain warranty). Or, make us an offer...you never know, we may say yes! As you fellow car enthusiats know, this Wrangler is priced to sell fast! Wranglers hold their value incredibly well!
Mechanical: One of our techs took this Wrangler on a road test. It ran strong, did not overheat, and shifted well through all gears. He drove it at light, moderate, and full throttle, and the Jeep performed well in all driving situations. Again, the transmission is a six speed manual, not automatic.
Exterior: The body is mostly straight and clean, especially for a 2008 with 146K miles. There is scratching and chipping to the paint, as this Jeep has likely seen off-road usage as well. Please remember that this is a used model year 2008, so please do not expect it to be perfect. This Jeep does show average wear for age and mileage.
Interior: As with the exterior, the interior shows minor to moderate wear, as expected with a seven year old vehicle. There is some scratching on the plastic in areas. I did not note any rips or damage to the cloth bucket seats. The floor mats could use a good cleaning/scrubbing as well. This Wrangler has manual locks and windows (less to break). All limited power options (radio, air conditioning etc.) work well as of now, but any needed work to such equipment is not covered in any way and will fully be the buyer's responsibility.
Options: Rubicon package. Tow package. Premium wheels. Hardtop.
Miscellaneous: We have two keys for this Wranglers. The owners manuals/books are not present.
Pros: Rubicon. Great color combo. Mechanically sound. Like new off-road tires. Clean interior.
Cons: Please be aware that this Wrangler does need a few repairs as indicated earlier in the listing.
