Vehicle Detail
Very original September 1968 built big-block Mach 1 S-code C6 automatic. Originally lime gold metallic (code I) with black interior, tinted glass, Lime Gold, power steering, power disc brakes, E70x14 tires, AM radio, C6 auto with 3.25 conventional rear. Delivered to Richmond Virginia new. I bought it in Virginia Beach Va. I have a Marti report for this Mach 1. This Mach 1 runs strong with no smoke or weird noises. Good oil pressure. Small exhaust leak at passenger side header. Factory 390 4V engine (date correct 8G18) is incredibly original including Autolite 4300 4V carburetor with rare C9ZF tag, FoMoCo radiator, C8OE factory Cobra Jet clutch fan, fan shroud, C9AE water pump, C9AE intake manifold, complete original vacuum lines etc. No fluid leaks. Has factory big-block reinforced shock towers. Perfect rust free floors, engine compartment aprons(including at the top shock towers) with clear factory spot welds, solid frame rails, clean trunk floor and nice torque boxes. All original sheet metal with all factory tags in place including aluminum 390 engine tag. Rust in both doors and both quarters (see photos). Driver door has a lot of rust. Passenger front fender has rust at the very bottom. Driver front fender is nice. Nice original 1969 Mach 1 carpet. Everything works except the horn and heater motor (need to check fuse). The cowl does not leak. Radio works. New gas tank, new brake hoses, new battery, rebuilt carburetor, fresh oil change and tuneup. Starts well cold. Aftermarket tachometer from the old days works and lights with dash lights. Someone installed headers in the old days and they are in good condition except small leak passenger side (tap tap tap tap). Driver door glass needs to be reglued in tracks. Doors close perfectly and glass rolls up and down smoothly. Aftermarket B&M shifter from the old days works great. Dual exhaust system is old but is OK, but needs tires which do not hold air well. Original glass is good except for one bullseye on the passenger front windshield--I think it can be resin repaired. C6 transmission shifts tight and easily brakes tires loose shifting into second gear....sweet! Nice survivor well optioned Mach 1 390 S Code. Call for more info at (301) 779-0114. Sold "as is" and I reserve the right to end auction early.
