Vehicle Detail
For sale is my 1954 Chevy 210. I have had this car for a few years, and it has been stored inside at my warehouse. I got this as a project car, but unfortunately I never seem to have any extra time to work on it. I did start taking off the chrome, so that I could have the car painted, but even that has not got done. I have the chrome, and it will go with it. I do know that there is a slight leak in the gas tank, and the fuel gauge doesn't work, but the engine runs fine, and the car drives fine. I have taken this out for a few drives, and the only problem I ever had was running out of gas! The tires all hold air well. Since I have never got very far with this car, I really don't know much details about it, besides what you can see. I have tried to take some good pictures, hopefully these show enough details for any buyer. If there is something that you can't see, or would like more images of, please send a message through eBay, and I will try to get the pictures you need. However, my recommendation to anyone considering buying this car is to come and see it for yourself. I am not a mechanic, nor am I an expert on antiques, so there may be something I don't know, or haven't noticed. I bought this because I liked it, but I am not in the restoration industry in any way. This car is sold AS-IS. There is no warranty, and no returns or refunds if you change your mind. Please bid only if you intend to pay. Any non-paying bidder will be reported to eBay, and a strike filed against your account. Please ask any questions you have before bidding. We are not a dealer, and therefore we aren't willing to arrange shipping for this car. It must be picked up locally. We have a very old envelope of paperwork relating to this car, the paperwork alone is worth something as an antique collection! We even have the original bill of sale for this car. It was purchased in November of 1954 from Service Chevrolet in Elmwood Park, IL. The purchase price was $2053.33!! Here is your chance to own a piece of history, a little bit of Americana! Perfect for someone who likes to tinker, and restore old vehicles. Add this one to your collection today. We are moving our warehouse, and we don't want to move this car, therefore it must go. It is a short 3-day auction, and there is NO RESERVE! Happy Bidding! On Jan-11-15 at 20:00:53 PST, seller added the following information: We have had lots and lots of inquiries about this car, so here is some more information that people seem to be asking for. I did look under the mat in the trunk, and did see one hole on the passenger side. I did not take up all the rubber cover, since it started to rip as I moved it, it's a bit brittle and I didn't want to damage anything. In the trunk I found what I believe may be the original chains for the tires. I also took up the mat in the front of the car. Both sides of the front have holes in the floor which the previous owner seems to have tried to repair. I think you can buy a floor pan to repair it properly. There is a little rust on both front corners, and also by one tail light. The roof is in really good shape, as is the hood and trunk. For the most part, for the age of this car, it's pretty solid. I am not a mechanic, nor am I an expert on antique cars. I have no way to tell what the underneath looks like, as I don't have the equipment to jack it up to look. The car still starts up and runs well, I drove it a little today. Please message with any questions, and I will do my best to answer, but mostly we are going to have to let the pictures speak for themselves, since I cannot claim to have the answers you may be looking for.
