For Sale: 1956 Chevy Pickup Truck, short-bed, 3100 series, small rear-window cab with short box. There is no motor or transmission. This was originally a 6 cylinder truck. I do not have a title. This was originally a North Carolina Government vehicle and last registered in 1982. I called DMV in Raleigh with the VIN and it is not "stolen" just a lost title old truck. With the exception of the wheels and tires, everything on this truck is 59 years old. Before I got it, it had been sitting in a North Carolina farm field for 20+ years. Please look at the pictures carefully! The lower corners of the cab are rusted, as are the front fenders. Windshield is cracked. Tailgate is missing. Someone had put a plate of sheet-steel on top of the wooden bed. What's left of the original wood floor is still underneath. Suspension and steering look original. The frame is very good. The front right wheel studs and nuts are badly rusted, so the truck has only three wheels on it so it does not roll. It will need to be winched onto your flatbed/trailer. A 4th wheel is included. If needed, I will assist in loading this truck on your flatbed/trailer, or whoever you pay to come and get it. This truck would make a great project. So many possibilities: shop-truck, hot rod, lowrider, rat-rod with patina, custom, etc. Aftermarket companies such as LMC Truck offer virtually everything you need for 1955-1957 tri-five Chevy trucks.
