Vehicle Detail
This was a very fast motorcycle with a powerful four cylinder engine, in perfect running condition, that I purchased from a Honda dealer in 1996, rode it for 9 years, and placed into storage in 2005. The motorcycle has only 5258 miles on the odometer. It has been stored in a garage in Costa Mesa, CA for the past 10 years. Because of the time that it has been in storage, it is currently not in running condition and will require some work to get it running again. Also, because of the age and the time that it has been is storage, there is some surface corrosion. The motorcycle is being sold in an "as is, non operational condition". The sale includes the motorcycle, a Covercraft nylon cover, a set of leather saddle bags and a signed Certificate of Title. Buyer will be responsible for any registration fees, licensing fees or sales taxes. THIS SALE IS FOR LOCAL PICK-UP ONLY. THE BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PICKING UP THE MOTORCYCLE, OR ARRANGING FOR IT TO BE TOWED FROM THE STORAGE GARAGE IN COSTA MESA, CA WITHIN SEVEN DAYS OF THE COMPLETION OF THE AUCTION. On Jan-08-15 at 20:22:28 PST, seller added the following information: THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION. THE HIGH BIDDER TAKES THE BIKE. DO NOT BID UNLESS YOU ARE PREPARED TO COMPLETE THE TRANSACTION. In response to questions received, I connected jumper cables to the motorcycle battery and the lights were all working, the starter engaged and cranked the engine as normal. The engine did not start since the fuel tank was drained when the motorcycle went into storage. I also checked the front and rear brake, and the clutch, which all seemed functional. Please note that my tests of the brakes were limited to pushing the motorcycle in the garage and stopping it. The brakes should be thoroughly tested and serviced by the buyer, before riding the motorcycle.
