2004 Mercedes Benz C240 ‘Sport Coupe’ (3dr Hatchback) VIN WDBRN40J94A568450 97,000 miles 1.8 liter Supercharged/Intercooled (Kompressor) Engine, 6 speed Manual Transmission Pewter Silver Metallic, Code C723 Maintenance records and original window sticker History The first owner special ordered the car with the options she wanted. I’ve never seen another optioned this way. Total of $6000 in options including full leather heated memory seats, Bi-Xenon headlights with washers, and real wood trim. I bought the car from the original owner in Mar 2013. The next week it was in a minor, low speed, accident when the car next to me changed lanes without looking and bounced off my left front fender. The fender was replaced, not repaired, and painted off the car – no overspray. I took the opportunity while it was in the shop to have the front bumper cover repainted (also remover from the car) to take care of the first 8 years of small rock chips. Picture of damage on request. Copy of AutoCheck on request. I consistently get 33MPG on highway trips, even though the EPA is 22/30. Why am I selling it? I’m replacing the 3 door hatchback with a 5 door hatch – MB GLA250, also ordered from Germany with the optioned I wanted. I can possibly deliver the car, see Shipping below. Mechanical All maintenance has been performed on schedule, including the items that should be changed based on age, not just mileage. The serpentine belt has been changed twice – every 5 years like the owners manual suggests. Brake fluid, coolant, spark plugs, all filters changed as scheduled. Front rotors and Pads at 78K, Thermostat at 88K and Alternator at 94K. The first four years, while under warranty, the car had one trip to the dealer each year for the scheduled “Service A & B”. I don’t have the receipts for those visits, but my local MB dealer brought up the records and let me copy the dates and mileage. From that point I have all the records. When I bought the car there were two open “service items” that my local MB dealer took care of without charge. There are no open recalls as of 12-2014. Body and paint The car was garaged most of its life (and under cover at work). There is no visible damage to any paint, rubber or trim. I treat all rubber trim/seals twice a year. There is a very small dent on the front edge of the hood along with very small rock chips that have been filled with “Dr Color Chip” (a very good product)., One wheel had a chip on the edge when I bought the car, I had the tire removed and the wheel inspected for any internal cracks. I purchased a spare wheel in advance just in case I needed it. Buyer can have that wheel; it’s still in the box. The self leveling, Bi-Xeon headlights don’t “fog” like the regular lights. They are still clear, with a small line of crazing on the top edge. The wheels have some small scratches. Interior Oyster leather, Brown Poplar wood trim. Full power, memory, heated seats. Memory also sets the outside mirrors and steering wheel. The right mirror tilts down when you are in reverse so you can see the curb. Leather treated three times a year. Homelink (Garage door opener). Very slight wear on the driver’s seat edge and top of shift knob. Otherwise, it’s as close to new as you are going to find in a used car. No smoking or others odors. No stains. The window tint is the highest quality Llumar brand. Texas legal 30% tint. EVERYTHING works as it did when new. Original floor mats and MB rubber mats that I put in when it rains. Weather Tech rain guards on the front windows. I think they are great for leaving the windows cracked in the hot summer. There are no screws or glue. If the new owner doesn’t like them, they pull off. 38 cu ft of cargo space with the split rear seats folded down. Miscellaneous Clear Texas title. The car was not cleaned or detailed for the pictures; this is the way it always looks. Tires are Michelin Pilot Sport A/S plus. High performance / all season. These are the same type tire that was on the car when new. I run these on all my cars, good wear and great in the rain. Tires were put on in March 2014 and have about 6000 miles on them. (500 tread wear rated). You may notice the “CLC200” designation, that’s what these were called in some countries. I just liked it better than “C230 Kompressor”. All tools, spare tire, air pump, first aid kit, books, manuals, window sticker with built sheet, etc, that came with the car are included. Also, the full MB service manual on CD (Windows). Seller will assist with delivery to a shipper pickup point in the San Antonio Texas area. I will consider driving the car to the new owner for expenses out and airfare back. The remaining balance must be paid within 10 days and the vehicle picked up within 30 days unless other arrangements have been made between the seller and buyer.Bank wire transfer is the only form of payment accepted for the balance.
