Vehicle Detail

This car belonged to a very good friend who had owned this car since her 16th birthday. This Mustang is an original 200 6 cylinder/ 3 speed manual car and has all of its original drivetrain components down to every tag, clip, and bolt. This is an original 73,000 mile car and was original sold in Colorado, then moved to California where it has sat in storage since 1981. Every piece of trim is original to this car as well as all of the interior components. This Mustang has absolutely zero rust- ZERO. As a collision shop manager, I have extensive corrosion detection experience and know the common areas where rust can develop. The bottoms of the front and rear windows are perfect as well as the bottoms of the fenders and quarters. The torque boxes are in mint condition as well as the entire trunk area. The car has lived an easy life. She described a parking lot incident somewhere in the late 70s where she had struck a parking pole in the front of the right door and rear edge of the fender. It appears to have been a minor repair that has left the leading edge of the door slightly rubbing on the edge of the fender. At the time of that repair, she had the car repainted entirely. The paint is now so thin, it's wearing through in some spots revealing the original Brittany Blue finish. The door, trunk, and fender gaps are excellent and have not been altered. All of the windows function perfectly. This car is an original power steering and power brake car and still retains all of the original pieces. It does not leak any fluids in any way. Other than approximately 5-6 small dings, the car is in amazing shape. When in storage, it appears vandals had broken the horn trim ring and removed the ignition cylinder perhaps in attempt to steal the car. An ignition cylinder will be required to drive the car normally. I installed a new battery, flushed the fuel system, checked all of the fluids and the car fired immediately. It runs perfectly smooth and shifts like it should. These engines are known for their smooth operation and this one does not disappoint. All of the ignition but the wires is original and in excellent working order. The floors, cowl, doors, and roof are totally devoid of rust. All of the chrome trim is an excellent shape and is original to this car. The exhaust is original to the car and does not have any leaks. I have not inspected the brakes, but the see to function correctly when I unloaded it off of the trailer. The steering seems very tight and he shifter is still very crisp. The original trunk mat is still in place. This is about the best project car I have seen in many years. The car could be put back on the road with minimal effort or used as an amazing starting point for a restomod car. Please email me if you have any questions. I take ebay feeback very seriously and only get involved in original, clean cars with excellent history. On Dec-26-14 at 14:16:34 PST, seller added the following information: This vehicle has 107K original miles- not 71k. Thank you ebay members for bringing that to my attention.
