I am the second owner and have had the car for over 25 years. I have been infatuated with XKEs since they first appeared and it took many years to actually acquire one. I continue to work on it periodically but have reached the realization that its unlikely I will be able to complete it. I also feel it's an ideal time to pass it on to some other Jag enthusiast while all the important decisions regarding level of restoration, color choices, exhaust header coating, etc. can still be made without redoing anything. The car was mechanically sound before disassembly so cosmetics were the main concern and my intent was to show the car. The car was a European model, not intended for export to the US market but wound up here none the less. It was purchased from a noted foreign car dealership, The Stable, in Gladstone, NJ on Sept. 30, 1989.
