Selling this for a dear friend who just bought a new car after owning this Mazda since it was brand new in 1998. It is a southern car bought in Atlanta and then taken to Charleston, SC with no rust whatsoever. The car is very sound and drives perfectly; it's quiet and smooth at all speeds and has no driveability issues: no rough starting, engine noises, shaking, quirky shifting or moaning/clunky steering. There are only a few things to note about the car that aren't up to snuff. The paint clearcoat is peeling on the left side, as you can see in the pictures. The rubber around the door seals on the left side have shrunk. This does not affect anything that I can notice: no air or water leaks anywhere on this car…ever. Please see the pictures of seal. The Bose radio volume is difficult to use and requires twisting it a number of times to get it to work. There is also a CD stuck in the CD player. The paint on the roof is also well worn. Otherwise paint is quite good, though not in any way perfect. The interior is absolutely excellent. You will have a hard time finding another 626 of this vintage with a nicer interior. This is a GENUINE 66K mile car and the interior shows it. Please see pics. Air conditioning blows cold and all power equipment (windows, sun roof, seats, etc.) work perfectly EXCEPT the power door locks. They recently started to click on and off on their own so I pulled the fuse. Tires are in great shape. There are no warning/idiot lights, ABS brakes, engine electronics and all other electronic systems work exactly as they should. This has always been a no smoking car and the oil was always changed in the 3000 mile range. It needed very little work done to it. She had two ignition coils changed and the valve cover gaskets replaced 6 months ago. That is it. IT hasn’t needed anything else except routine maintenance. There are absolutely NO leaks under the car: no oil, water, brake fluid, power steering fluid, etc. This will make a very safe, reliable and easy to drive/maintain car for years to come.
