2003 VW Jetta Wagon TDI ALH Diesel 5speed Heated Seats 217k and counting (Daily Driver) This car is one of the cleanest MK4 TDIs out there. All the previous owners and I took excellent care of it. I bought it mint, and made it minter. It runs and drives excellent. Handles and steers great. Engine runs smooth, no lights or cleared lights, I have scanner that shows if OBD is ready. Clutch is great. Needs nothing. Why I'm selling? This is the perfect car for me. I love it. However, the 5speed turned out to be a hassle for my wife. She can't drive it, and on road trips, I have to be the sole driver and can't get any sleep. So once and if this sells, I will be looking for a newer 2010 TDI wagon with the DSG. I am not in a rush to sell though. I know how rare this exact model is. Things that have been done: -Timing belt at 201k miles -Fuel pump replaced at 177k by Kelly VW -Battery at 177k Just recently within couple months: (I only use high quality parts) -Complete tie rod both sides (Lemforder) -Balljoints (Bilstien) -Front wheel bearings (Timken) -Front strut mounts and bearings -Pads and rotors using Centric Ceramics and high carbon rotors anti rust coating -Fuel, cabin, and air filter -Valve cover -Belt tensioner -Alignment after front end work -Control arm bushings -Rear towing springs -EGR cleaned out -Ran liqui moli Some cosmetics that I did: -Installed a custom made cut out valve in the exhaust to switch from going thru muffler to open straight pipe. Push pull cable operated, located left of driver's seat. I didn't like having the turbo whistle and loud exhaust ALL the time. So this was a nice build. It's a nice show and tell piece too. Also, if it's something you're not into and a deal breaker, I'll take it off and weld it back up. No big deal. -New right fender -Euro switch -Front fog lights (bottom grills) wired into euroswitch -Rear fog lights wired into euroswitch -Clear turn markers Comes with stock monsoon double din radio NOT the aftermarket in the pictures. But I will leave the aftermarket radio adaptor. I bought an EGR delete and cooler bypass kit but never installed, because it would set check engine light on unless tuned. Didn't get to tune it yet. I will include the delete with the car. Really clean 17" Long Beach rims. With nice continental tires with about more than half tread on them. And they should last a long time. They are sturdy tires. Couple things to make this car brand new: -Left fender starting to bubble on the corner. (see picture) -Rear bumper and rear left quarter have some scuffs on it. I was going to get the shorter wagon bumper off and older wagon, and get the quarter repainted. (pictures posted of this, but you can barely see it) If the buyer wants the body work fixed and painted, I know a guy that can do a great job for approximately $150 per panel. I think that's about it. On Dec-15-14 at 06:57:00 PST, seller added the following information: UPDATE: Forgot to mention that along with the timing belt at 201k all the other stuff was done like tensioner, rollers, water pump, cam seal. At the same time serp belt and turbo actuator were replaced.Also don't have receipt for the parts but previous owner did glow plugs and wiring harness around 200k.Car is pretty much stock other than the exhaust valve, rims, and fogs. I didn't get to put too many pics up of the interior but it is pretty clean, no rips or tears or any stains. Back seat is great, barely been used. Driver's seat is slightly darker from everyday use, but no major stains or wear. Plastic pieces near the most used areas like door handles and window switches have some normal wear where the "soft touch" layer is scratching off. It is and everyday driver, so it won't be in showroom condition.
