The accident could have been done by owner on his own, without filing a claim, and there would have been no record of the accident. THIS IS NOT A "SALVAGE TITLE" The owner, who ran into a large tree branch, made a claim and instead of the vehicle being bought back by the insurance co, the owner opted for them to pay him a portion of the insurance claim. He in turn kept the vehicle and paid the Mercedes dealer to do the necessary repairs. The car has just over 40K miles and looks and runs MINT!
