Recently purchased from the estate of the original owner this 300d has been driven regularly until approximately 7 years ago. Purchased new in 1960 at the Mercedes Benz dealer in Tokyo Japan by USAF Officer and driven by husband and wife 52912 miles backed up by repair bills. Everything appears to be original except the paint. Car comes with books, records, and tool kit. Mechanics: Engine runs good. No air. Automatic transmission shifts fine. Brakes are good. Having said this car has not been driven down the road for at least 7 years. Car needs to be driven to sort out any problems. Car is sold as is. Body: Body is very solid. Small rust hole on drivers door under door handle. Rust bubbles on bottom of doors from moisture. Undercarriage is very solid with no significant rust. Car appears to have been repainted once. Trunk is excellent original. Chrome: Bumpers are solid and look good. Two dings on middle of rear bumper. Some pitting and age marks on chrome around the windows. Interior: Appears to be all original including the carpet. Passenger side carpet is not there. Front seats have some worn through spots. Headliner is good. Wood is very good original. Becker Mexico does not work. This is a very good original 300d with excellent history. Come and take a good look. Come and inspect it if you can.
