Vehicle Detail
I purchased this car in 1997 and drove it until the transmission went in 2010. It has been sitting in my yard since. I had hoped to rebuild it, but time and lack of funds precluded that idea. Since the car is a unique style, I thought I would see if anyone is interested in it for a project as opposed to sending it to the car recyclers (I can get around $400 for it there). So, for any interested bidders, here is the history of the car since I since the time I purchased it: Purchased in 1997 with 62,000 miles. Was a daily driver for me throughout its life. Fast car, great handling on the highway, and got 26 MPG mileage (HWY) regularly when driven conservatively. Hit a deer in 2000. No frame damage, so I put on new front end panels, took the opportunity to take care of the rust found in typical places on these cars, and put on a GTA hood, then had it primed for several years. Never got the trim for the hood. Was painted at MAACO in 2007 with a midnight black with sparkle. Car is dirty in the pics, but when it is clean, it looks really nice. At the time the car was running, the headlight motors worked and the fog lights worked as well. Car has a K&N filter in the air cleaner and a Flowmaster 3" cat-back exhaust which sounded really good! That being said, its current condition makes it nothing more that a project at this point. It has not run in 4 1/2 years. Please see the section on the known issues. I would love to see this car rebuilt and put back on the road if there is anyone out there interested. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you and good luck!
