Up for auction is a 1963 Comet. It is currently a project, but is close to being back on the road. The car doesn't currently run or drive, but has had a newer engine and transmission swapped. It just needs the final hookups done. The 302ci engine is used with an unknown rebuild date and the c4 transmission has been professionally rebuilt with zero miles. It has a Lokar shift cable conversion, brand new fuel pump, new air filter, and brand new water pump installed. The driveshaft was rebuilt with new ujoints and a newer c4 slipyoke. It has a Holley intake and a newer 600cfm carburetor with electronic choke. The ignition is a points distributor with brand new vacuum advance, the exhaust headers are stock with glasspack mufflers. It has a clear title, is on PNO, and has 86,788 miles! I drove the car before the swap and the car handles and rides very well. As far as I can tell, the wheels are original, but the tires have some cracking. The car has been painted at some point but it has been a couple of years. The car looks great from afar, but there are some flaws that are noticeable close up. The car could use little things like window felts, etc. The interior was redone around the same time as the paint and has a new headliner and nice chrome, but needs the obvious parts of the seats redone. The brown vinyl is still in new condition, but the previous owner chose too weak of a material, as you can see from the pictures. I have spent quite a bit of money and time on this car and do not want to take it any further. Lots of new parts will be coming with the car, such as performance long tube headers, hei distributor, one-wire alternator, original generator/bracket/regulator, new belts and engine brackets, new spark plug wires, and a few others. I have other projects and could use the parking space. The starting price is low with a low reserve as I hope you will bid generously.
